USD/CAD briefly rises above 1.2300
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/CAD pushed a tad higher and printed fresh weekly highs above 1.2300 during the American session, with oil prices fall weighing on the loonie.
USD/CAD briefly rose above the 1.23 mark and reached a peak of 1.2305 coincidentally with crude hitting a weekly low just above $56.00 a barrel. At time of writing, USD/CAD is trading at 1.2285, still up 0.47% on the day.
USD/CAD technical levels
In terms of technical levels, USD/CAD could face immediate resistances at 1.2305 (daily high), 1.2326 (Apr 16 high) and 1.2400 (psychological level/10-day SMA). On the other hand, supports are seen at 1.2225 (100-day SMA) and 1.2213 (daily low) ahead of 1.2200 (psychological level).
