Bearish bets on 10-year Treasury declines for third consecutive week
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for the week ended Jan 13th to Jan 20th showed the bearish bets on the US 10-year Treasury declines for a third consecutive week.
The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes saw a weekly change of +35,986 contracts, thereby taking the total to -145,598 contracts. The long positions rose by 37,457 contracts, while the short positions rose by just 1,471 contracts. Moreover, the bearish bets now stand at a November low.
Meanwhile, the 10-Year treasury note fell from 1.91% to 1.82% during the reporting time period.
