EUR/JPY recovers and breaks above 143.80

FXStreet (Córdoba) - EUR/JPY is trading slightly above 144.00 after finding support yesterday at 143.30/35 amid a weak yen.

On Tuesday the pair retreated from 2014 highs at 144.68 (Nov 12 high) and found support around 143.30/35, but managed to trimmed losses during the American session. Today, on Asian hours, broke above 143.80 and climbed back on top of 144.00.

Printed a fresh daily high at 144.30 but then pulled back, toward the intraday resistencia/support area round 143.80/90. Currently trades at 144.10, up 0.25% for the day and headed toward the fifth weekly gain in a row.

India may curb gold imports

India is likely to announce curbs on gold imports by private trading firms, since the country witnessed a surge in gold imports in the third-quarter.
