US index futures decline
FXStreet (Mumbai) - US equity index futures declined, signaling a weak start on Wall Street, as the markets are likely to correct after posting record closing levels for five straight sessions.
The DJIA December futures are trading 0.44% lower at 17,488.50 levels, while the S&P 500 December futures are trading 0.42% lower at 2027.95 levels. Meanwhile, the VIX futures are up 2.84% at 14.48 levels.
Moreover, equity futures in the US declined on concerns of moribund global economy and economic stagnation in Europe. The concerns were renewed earlier today after the Bank of England Governor Mark Carney unveiled lower U.K. growth and inflation forecasts.
